Laptops

My mom has a laptop and sometimes she can't connect to the internet or get emails... this happens every 2 weeks... then miraculous its working just fine. She has called her email provider and cable company and they can't seem to see a problem. Does anyone have any suggestions what she can do?? Or why this is happening?

Maybe there is a switch that turns the wireless on or off? It might be in a place where it gets pressed easily.
