A guy who is already addicted to smoking is hard to stop. Eventhough the doctor has asked him to quit smoking, he obeyed at first, but then he did smoking again. I don't know why a chain smoker can control not to smoke. Is it because of a nicotine or because of a habit? I worry it happens to my son. Once he smokes, I won't be able to stop him. Only a miracle can stop him to smoke.

It is not easy to quit smoking but it is not a miracle to quit smoking. I also not sure this few method work or not, I just heard from a friend of my boy friend. He smoke for around 6 years but he have quit it recently. These are thetips that he told me. 1) get ready some sweet in your pocket, eat it when you few like want to smoke. There are some antismoke sweet is better. 2) Always do exercise 3) Find something to do and don't let yourself too free. This will let you forgot to smoke.

I agree it is very difficult to quit. I tried 4 times to quit. Each of those first 3 times it didn't work and I actually seemed to smoke more than before I tried to quit. The last time worked. In March 2005 after a lot of thinking about it I just all of a sudden quit. It was very bad and I carried a lot of gum, candy and whatever to work to keep from asking for a cig. I still sometimes think about it and I have to admit that having my other half still smoking wasn't conducive but I guess that once I made up my mind and didn't have any children to take care of or worry about spasing out on it worked

My father stopped smoking after having smoked for 50 years. His friend just had to stop due breathing problems so that imfluenced my dad and he said that he had stopped earlier if he had known it would be so easy - I think it was because he just was ready to do it. I guess the person who smokes has to do the desicion by himself and really have a good motive.

It is the addictiveness of it. The nicotine is very addictive. It is possible to stop though, I stopped two years ago and can say I am totally over it.

I became a Christian at the age of 32. I am not saying that Christians should not smoke but it came between my relationship with Christ and therefore it had to go and could not do it without His help. I tried a lot of times before but succeeded after becoming a Christian and asked Him for help.

Yap its very difficult to stop once u start smoking and the worst is when u are really addicted .It needs a strong will power for one to stop this habit. From my expeience msaying that oone of the main factor is the friend circle becoz i gave up smoking many times but started again and angain due to my friends influence and when im on their midst I cant control it.But by Gods grace Ive quit it completely and I have even avoided those smokers friends of mine so that I wont be tempted again.Hope your son to quits soon.
