yes i do enjoy being a doctor, the respect i get from the patients is amazing. the entrance exam to get into the medical school was very hard, however i managed to get in and after that it became easy for me to pass the exams, but final year was very tough. i am an intern working in a government hospital. i want to become a paediatrician as i care for children and dont like to see them suffer as they are very innocent. my childhood dream was to become a doctor, my parents supported and encouraged me. my aim is to become a successful doctor in life and see that my patients are benefited to the maximum as i can. my dream is to build a multi speciality hospital having all the advanced facilities in it and also cost effective to the patients.

Hi, I am a doctor (a cosmetic surgeon), though my dream was to be a cardiac surgeon. When I was in high school, I always dreamed of being a doctor as it was a very noble profession and doctors' are held in high esteem in the society. However in India being a doctor is no longer a charm considering that there are so many options for an 18-year old to make money early in life. As a doctor you have a really long time before you even dream of making some money. We cannot just live on the salaries of doctors in India. I moved out of India 5 years back and today I have a roaring practice in Kenya. If you have already made up your mind on being a doctor or are studying medicine my advice will be to take it seriously and do not pay attention to the fact that you are earning far less than your friends who are not doctors. Doctors have a peak at about 35 years and from then onwards it is good life. Regarding medical school, I was a distinction student all through and yes, there definitely is lot of effort required but it pays.
