Returning gifts after Christmas

Have you ever received something for christmas you didn't like or couldn't use in any way and just returned it? Or do you think this to be inappropriate? I never returned a gift someone gave me yet, as I usually always just receive gifts I like very much. I don't know if I would actually return something because it might insult the person who gave it to me... What do you think about this?

I have never returned a gift because I didn't like it. I once had to exchange for a different size. Someone could give me a pile of crap and I would find a use for it. Thats just the way I am. I appreciate everything I get. Now, my boyfriends father returns just about everything he gets and it frustrates me to no end. I think this year we will give him a gift certificate.

I can understand you feelings there.. It is really frustrating if you take much time and think about what you could give someone as a present for christmas and that gift is not appreciated.. I think a gift certificate is a good solution in this case and hope your boyfriend's father will be happy with it!
