When you visit this site you can enter your address and a map will pop up with your house as a small icon of a house. There will be red, blue and green dots surrounding your entire neighborhood. When you click on these dots a picture of a criminal will appear with his or her home address and the description of the crime he or she has committed.
The best thing is that you can show your children these pictures and see how close these people live to your home or school.
This site was developed by John Walsh from Americas Most Wanted. This is another tool we can use to help us keep our kids safe.

I wanted to thank you for this information, it is scary to know that some of these people live less than half a mile from my home, and you wouldn't know it just by looking at them because they look like one of your everyday people. Excellent website to know about.

Thank you so much for this link. I know when we moved into the house we are in we went up to our state's list to take a look around what was there. There are many in our area but thankfully not too close. Some areas in the city near us has tons of them. I'm glad I don't live there at all. This is one link we should all have in our favorites.

I check this site often. When we went to visit my mother in law we showed it to her and found out the house across the street belongs to a convicted pedophile. She was shocked to find that out. I doesn't show where most of them live in my area since it is rural and doesn't have street addressess. It shows them as unmappable. But it still shows their information.

Thank you very much about letting us know about this site so we can see who is living around us and so we can protect our kids better and ourselves. I would not have known about this website. Great job on letting us all know about this site. I have bookmarked it.

I just checked it out and book marked the page. where I live there are a lot of offenders. Where I am moving to the map is almost clear.

I highly agree sites like these should exist!!!! We have one in Australia listed as MAKO but you have to pay a small sum to get the updated list. I have been on the Aussie site after my ex pleaded guilty to indecent dealings and love to spread the name of the site around
