Gift Vouchers

What is your opinion of giving gift vouchers for Christmas. I think they are ok, especially for teenagers, as they always need something. Wondering what other members think.

I often give gift vouchers.
I find people prefer them as it means they can choose what to buy, and if they want, they can buy in the sales, making the gift stretch further.
Just make sure you pick vouchers for a shop the person you are giving to goes to a lot.

Sometimes its the best thing to give. I usually try to give my kids at least one so that they can buy what they want. Not just what I think they want. Sometimes its hard to know what to buy for some people. I've given them as gifts to co-workers before also. It was greatly appreciated at the time.
