Occupational Health and Safety

My partner just had to go do an occupational health and safety course recently and I was just wondering if other professions required you to do one as well, other than building? Do you think there is enough awareness in the general workplace about occupational health and safety? What areas need to be improved? What should officials do to promote occupational health and safety in an effective manner?

I know a lot of employer that make their employees.

When I worked we did that too. I think it's wise to teach employees about the hazards of things they work with, so that they can be safe always. I think nowadays, people are well educated then before in the work places.
