Thanks! I was just wondering because I keep reading about someone who is bragging about posting 100 or more posts per hour; they don't seem like quality responses or discussions to me. Like you, I'm not here for the money.

I did it one day when I started but they were not Quality posts and most definitely not in one hour took me all day lol , but as I said before I am only a two finger typist , but boy the two fingers are getting much quicker since I joined my Lot xx

I know what you mean about typing faster since joining MyLot! Do you find that you're starting to type with more than 2 fingers now? I've heard that people actually teach themselves to type through these forums. Maybe I should have my boyfriend join- he is a very, very slow 2 finger typer!

Definitely if not virtually impossible, It took me a whole day to do 100 good responses, and never again, I was practically glued to the computer, it was a Sunday admittedly but even so it took most of the day, and then two of my responses were deleted so I only managed 98. 10 quality posts in an hour is more like it, and don't forget you need to include thinking time if they are going to be quality. You are doing nothing wrong, the emphasis should be on quality not quantity, keep up the good work!

Thanks, wolfie! I don't know how you did 100 in a day- my back would be yelling at me for sure! I could never sit here that long. Some day I am going to try for 100 in a day just to say that I did it, as kind of a personal challenge. Other than that, I'm going to keep doing as I have been, as you've suggested.

I've honestly never paid attention to how many posts an hour I make! LOL I type at over 100 wpm so I'm gonna guess if anyone could do it I would be a good candidate. It would also really depend on the site itself and your own internet connection. I guess nothing is impossible?

It also would depend on the quality of discussions that the user is answering and the quality of his answers. I have trouble with 20 in an hour!

Oh my goodness! If I could post 100 qualily posts in an hour, I would be rich, I tell you! *laugh* The most that I think I've ever posted in one day here was 120 posts, and that took me working off and on all day long! *laugh* I would be really happy if I could post 50 quality posts in an hour, like one other member here has said that he can do! That would make me one happy camper! *laugh* Hut I don't think that I'm even that fast! ^_^

I'm with you- I can't even think that fast, much less type it out! It turned out that the person who was boasting this is no longer a member here- his posts were all "yes", "no", "I don't know", or "I agree"... I'm glad that MyLot has been cleaning this place up!

I can not believe that there was any quality at all doing 100 in an hour. I would not even worry about trying to accomplish this just have fun. I never have even tried to count the amount.

I don't even bother to count anymore. The star ratings mean nothing, because they go down if someone disagrees with you and rates you negatively, and I don't really keep track of how many credits I have. That's why when people here start noticing that they lost 1 or 2 credits I am amazed. I don't think that I would notice unless it was a huge number!

Yeh, you can do it for sure. Type fast, and hope that MyLot isn't dragging that night you do it. Good luck. YOu will make $2.00 if you do it.

Or maybe a program that types for you as your talk. My second mom had something like that because she was horrible at typing. So, if someone could had one of those, all one would have to do it talk and send. So, as long as there is not a lag with the program...it could be possible. But I still do not think it would be very high quality.

Jimbo, let us know how you do! I'm thinking that a new user from China is using some kind of automated bot to post discussions yesterday and today.

We could also use the no brainer method too and type only a few words. But, I am a blabber mouth, that would be hard for me to do.

Oh heavens no! There is no way that I could post quality responses in that amount of time!!! If someone is posting that much in a hour, I would think that they are giving one word or one sentence responses. And with the new system of our star rating, I would think that the person earns less because they are not offering much to discussions. At least, that is what I hope the star system is for. :)

Ahh but hopefully for every one person that gives a bad rating purely due to disagreeing, there is another one (or more) who will neutralise and award a more positive rating for the effort. Like what I have been doing in some of your topics :P

That is what the star system is for, but I'm seeing more and more that people are using it to "get back at" users who disagree with them. That's how my rating keeps dropping, and I know that several others feel the same. It's getting so that we're afraid to post in any controversial conversations or debates, because we'll end up with a rating of "1". By the way, what voice recognition program did your family member use? Not that I'm considering it, but we had trialed Dragon at work a few years ago and it was a complete disaster. I can understand that it had trouble with the Doctor's voice because he has a heavy accent, but I don't and it was horrible, even with a lot of "retraining".

Its impossible. That take me a whole day. You need to read carfully and also look at the reponses before you can make a valuable contribution. People who gets a 100 posts in a hour done, does not really care about the subject matter, they just post to make money. Even if you type fast, you have to sit down and think and plan before you start typing and thats waht takes up the time!

I know you started this discussion months ago but I thouhgt I would add my thoughts to it anyways. I don't even think I could do 100 posts in a day. It has nothing to do with how fast I can type either. SOmetimes it takes me an hour just to find a discussion I want to respond to. Then I have to read through the entire discussion, then formulate my response, then type it out and add tags. I like to think that all of my responses are qualtiy, and I do work hard at posting them, but I am not in any kind of race here. I really think that 100 is immpossile if you actaully read the dsicussions and are actually posting quality responses.

All of your responses ARE quality; the effort that you put into them shows clearly. That is how all of us should be using this forum- it would make for a lot more good discussions to contribute to, don't you think? I can easily spend the better part of an hour just reading the posts and pondering what people are saying. I'm not here to simply post and see my numbers going up; I like to learn new things, and I find this place to be enjoyable.

Thank you for the compliment. I totally agree that I enjoy learning new things, and reading what people think. There are times that I will pour over one discussion really taking in what everyone had to say and sometimes I decide that anything I could say has already been said, so there is no need for me to respond. I just enjoy the community here as a whole, and earning the money is just a bonus to add to the wonderful thoughts, opinon's and knowledge that I gain from being here.

To write quality posts, you also need to find quality discussions to respond to -- and be sure that you can contribute effectively! -- and many good ideas to start new threads with. All in all, I find it quite difficult to do so, even with my wild imagination for new topics! ;)

You are so right! But don't be too hard on yourself. Your topics are great, but they are thought provoking and those who want to quickly post and move on merely to earn money will not be able to post a good response to your discussions. You definitely have a cool ability to think outside the box, which is something that I admire and wish that I could develop in myself.

There is now way that this is possible at all especially leaving a good quality post! I think that if i am having a good day i can maybe get 20 to 30 posts in an hour! It is alot harder than this person seems to think that has been bragging about something that is obviously no where near quality and you are someone to look up to hear at least for me on mylot!! Keep up your great work and good luck!! God bless!

Well frankly i only hardly make 20-25 posts daily through earlier i might have posted 50 posts too. But to that in a hour seems not possibility for me. esp. with me as i like to write good quality posts that tend to be long mostly but i like it that way. And my typing speed is slow and i have to keep checking back for spelling mistakes so yes it does take me hell a lot of time to write one posts. Besides i also like to read other posts and whole mylot thing. besides i don't get it since mylot guidelines state that one ahs to read all other resposnes to discussion be for posting response so how is that really possible, I wonder.

We're a lot alike. I like to read the other posts and then ponder my thoughts and come up with a good response. I feel like my answers are too long, also; I think that's a result of years of work as a nurse. Before computerized records, we had to write pages and pages of documentation. It was drilled into our heads for years, and I was very thorough. That carries over in all that I do, and sometimes it is a hindrance. I find it impossible to write a "short" letter or article! I also think that if someone doesn't read the other responses, they won't learn anything from the MyLot experience. I guess that it depends on your reasons for being here, but I enjoy considering the thoughts and experiences of others. It contributes to my own personal growth.

Quite tough.. for one needs to think and carefully plan out a quality post too. 100 in an hour? That works out to be less than 1 post per minute. Toughie.

With a very good typing speed I can do only 10 posts per hour. This includes reading and understanding the discussion. I find it very easy to respond to one persons discussions in a row. This way you sort of get used to that persons ideas and responding becomes quicker.

I do the same thing. Most of the time I just go to My Friends folder, and I start with the first user and answer any discussions that are new, and I gradually work my way through. It takes a while, and once I get it done it's time to start over!

When I'm going good, I'll get 20-30 in an hour. I'm a quick reader and fast typer. I only give good quality responses in good quality discussions. I also don't always read all the responses if it's somegthing that I don't need to, like if I'm just giving my opinion about something or saying what I do. I can't imagine being able to make 100 quality posts in an hour.
