I tried to quilt as a teenager and didn't have the patience for it but now that I am older I have done some simple quilts and can't believe how easy they were. I even sold some. I only use squares or rectangles and large enough pieces that I can work with them. I still have no patience for one inch piece work. Good luck!

I think it's great to learn new things. Would you hand sew or use a sewing machine? If you can sew a precise, straight seam, you can quilt. Check the web for free patterns, the library for how-to books, and the local craft store for classes. Good luck & happy quilting!
