Is our food being Poisoned ?

I read an article a while back that was telling about the food here in America. We import tons and tons of food every year but we export very little food to other countries. This article stated that other countries in the world have banned the import of most food coming from America. It stated the reasons for this ban was because American food had to many poisons and chemicals added during processing. If other countries are banning our food then do you think it is safe for us to eat it ?

There are to many additives in our food, to much processing. Additives to add taste and to preserve. These additives are not good for us.. the processing has taken much of the nutrition from our foods plus the chemicals used to raise the stuff. The Harmones and antibotics give to our milk and meet supply would shock you. Yes our food supply is killig us . Look at all the cancers. and illness. I believe that much of it is from our foood supply

I read a similar article, this one defending the US's processed food. I don't buy it. I think it is too early to know all the harm that might have been done by the genetically modified foods. By it does seem clear that it isn't the best of ideas to continue putting this stuff on the market. Slowing down and doing more thorough research wouldn't really hurt us, would it?
