I sell books through Amazon.com. The hardest part is finding the books to sell. Do you do this also? it is sort of fun.

I sell on Amazon and Half and make about $600.00 a month. I go to the thrift store an look for books on the Amazon top 100. Ppl read them and give them away and then I buy them and resell them.

yeah i do the same thing. I am on the west coast so we are not in competition with each other.. the top 100 might be good but then they always print so many of them, there is a lot to sell, thus the price comes down quickly. I tend to look for authors and subjects i know about

You go to look for the ones that are not so much in demand but sell all the time. Right now I got many copies of "You on a diet" and "Omnivores Dilemma" I find them all the time for now until they demand goes down on them again.

you are right, it is supply and demand... there sre so many books i threw away few years back cause worth nothing, now i wish i kept since the supply may be low. Thats probably whts good about remainders, although i have nver purchased remainders. Would love to sell new books on the web outside of Amazon.

marketing books - there are books on marketing books..hahahah go figure. Books are everwhere and we can often find them easily.
Selling books is a fun thing to do. I sell at swap meets, flea markets, half.com and ebay. Amazon just has not been a real draw for me. I get my books from library book sales and thrift stores and lately the books seem to find their way to me from friends since they know I read and sell them too. I would love to make a deal for those 100 books that one of the responders got from them being left behind. Good luck!!

I don't sell books, but if I did, I'd go through Amazon. I can't bring myself to sell any of my books, but I do buy them quite often through Amazon. I loved buying used books. I love seeing how they've been read and loved and worn. I'm kind of silly about books. :D

I don't sell them, I just buy them :) You guys are lucky to have thrift stores to buy cheap books in. I have several used books stores, but prices aren't that low.
