IS IT TRUE THAT THUNDER IS CAUSED BY CLOUDS BUMPING INTO EACH OTHER?

mainly yes... but actually is the friction between the water drops creating static energy that causes the separation of the positive and negative poles... one is getting up, while the other is lowering. where the two meet, an electric charge happens that causes the lightening and with it the thunder. but since the speed of light is higher we first see the light and then hear the noise
