Even though our brain is smaller than elephant, why are human intelligent?

elephant - as the story goes the animals even talked in the Garden of Eden and am still not thoroughly sure why they do not talk now, physically they do not have the same formation in their throats so no speech is doable for them. Would love to be able to converse freely with the animals I live with.
If elephants had the ability to talk then we would see who is truly intelligent. We should not judge animals as inferior, though many exhibit behaviors that we would deem stupid if they could talk and say why they do the things they do perhaps we would be surprised.

hmmm i can see some point to it.. but cant support fully as the ability of speech itself is a sign of intelligence
