I am interested in home schooling my child who has a learning disability. He's not getting the help he needs in school. I looked at several that are completely online. I want to make sure that my son gets the best education possible. There are very few church schools in my area. I live in Alabama. I looked into one school where they actually get a diploma. Does anyone have any suggestions? Have you ever tried an online home schooling program? Which one? Give an estimate of tuition. How do I find out if it is accredited in my state?

I don't know of any whole home schooling programs online. But as you hadn't had many responses I thought you might find the site I'm using to teach my daughter to read. Its www.progressivephonics.com They are about to start charging for their books so I would recommend you look at it soon. I found that before Christmas she wasn't even sounding words out properly (although she knew all the sounds for the letters) and now she is able to read complex words like swing, sleep, myself, something etc. So I would throughly recommend this site.
