Has anyone visited Tibet

Would be really interested to hear about anyone who has visited Tibet recently. I have always wanted to go but the normal money situation has not allowed, however it would be nice to see what others think. Is it as spiritual and peaceful as I imagine, or is it just a lot of talk about nothing.
