What would you do if a garbage dump was built near you.

I lived in a home where they started to build a garbage dump across the street. The dump got higher and higher and smelled. We moved. Took a loss.

When I was a young girl, the town dump was up the road from where I lived. In the end they only brought junk cars to stock until they were ready to take the final resting place. My sister-in-law now goes bottle picking with her daughter. I will join them in the springtime. The old collectable bottles are many. She has found some great ones.

Well your town dump seemed a lot nicer than this dump. Honey, this stunk so very bad. It was a nighmare.

I couldn't imagine living close enough to be able to smell the garbage. It is bad enough to smell one bag that is sitting in the sun for hours waiting to be picked up by the garbage truck. Nevermind smelling thousands of pounds of rotting waste. I would have moved as well.

You cannot believe the stink. I could not explain it. But what is so weird, is that the property there is outrageous now. So high, and people still move in. That's in NY.

Of corse I would move far away from that place. I'm sorry for what happened to you.

I think that I would move if a garbage dump was built near me. I cannot even imagine the odor that would be experienced (I get headaches when things smell too strong) and I also think that it would be a bit depressing to look outside at a bunch of junk lol

You hit it right on the head, so we moved.

No I wouldn't like to live near a garbage dump and would probably have to move as well! The ones we have are a distance away from where people live!
