My programming teacher mentioned something about new generation computers that will not be running off of binary. I tried looking it up on google and such, but didnt' find much of anything helpful, but I'm very interested in learning more. If anyone has any info, I'd appreciate it

This is a pretty incredible subject. To answer your inquiry about code type, it is called qubit. As opposed to binary being 1-or-0/on-or-off/true-or-false, it is quantative in that it acts as both singularily or simultaniously with a numerical coefficient representing the probability for each state. Definition of coefficient: A constant multiplicative factor of a certain object. The object can be such things as a variable, a vector, a function, etc. Check this site for deeper understanding on quantum computing: http://www.cs.caltech.edu/~westside/quantum-intro.html Check this site for deeper understanding of the reseach going into it: http://www.physorg.com/news79265847.html
