i think this is one of walter dean myers it relates to alot of young aferican americans.

I don't know if Walter Dean Myers wrote a book of the same name, but the one I've read is Monster: Autobiography of an LA gang member 'Monster' Kody Scott. It was written by Sanyika Shakur about his life. Its an excellent book :D
