I'm not sure that I know what hubpages are, but depending on what type of writing it is you do there are several ways to earn from it.
I've not had anything to do with it, but apparantly there is a site called constant content that pays for articles.
Or you can do what I do and that's setup your own webpage/blog and write to your hearts content and add relevant income streams to it. Again depending on what it is you write you may be able to get a freelance job of some sort - just do a search for freelances or ghost writers etc.

I write on Helium.
At first I thought it was low paying, but there are ways you can get paid more. (By writing more, getting referrals and winning competitions)
Best of all it is just really enjoyable and addictive.
If you add me I will send you an invitation or you can just check it out for yourself. Keep in touch and let me know what you think of it anyway.
