Which is better a blog or a website?

                    the best thing is having a website because blog just share information but website can share anything like downloads and more

                    It depends.  A website has more scope for laying it out exactly as you want.  A blog is more limited.  I use free blogs for making money and they work for me and are easy to use.

                    Why not have both? If you are using blogger, it's a bit limited, but if you have wordpres there are options to create static pages. You could also create a website with a "blog" on it (have a look at http://www.rhyswynne.co.uk for an example of it), also you could have a blog, with website built around it (have a look at http://www.gospelrhys.co.uk/blog.html for an example)
It's entirely upto you. If you want say a fairly static pages (such as general information that wont change, or a list of software), a website is the best. However, if you want to be constantly updating and fluid, a blog is the best way forward.
