Let us humbly beg the Child to be born in the manger to bestow on us these 3 gifts. First,the gift of faith.The gift of trust and belief,like that of Mary.The gift of faith is inspired by Elizabeth's words to Mary:"Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled."We ask the Lord this Christmas for the gift of faith that Mary has.Can we? Second,the gift of doing God's will.The gift of truly doing God's will,like that of Christ inspired by the letter of the Hebrews.When Christ comes into the world,He speaks the words of the psalmist.Third, the gift of rejoicing. The gift of geniunelaughter and rejoicing,like that of Abraham and Sarah,zechariah and Elizabeth because despite their old age God gifted them with a child.Should we ask for this gifts?
