I have applied some tips here and it has given my planned novel some depth and characterization. Can anyone else bring fourth any other suggestions and recommendations for completing a novel. This is not only dedicated to those planning a novel, this is for everyone who loves to twirl around with words.

I regularly use writersdigest.com. You can also sign up for their weekly newsletter, it provides invaluable tips on writing. I also like thewriter.com and writing.com. They are great sites. I have several others, depending on the genre of your novel. Also yahoo groups has many writing groups that will help you network with other writers. There is no fee to join and you meet some great fellow writers.

mikes writing workshop is one. Another good one is biw (book in a week). But, it all depends on the genre you write. Try doing a search at yahoo groups and believe me, you will come up with many. I run one called allwriting, but it isn't active. I have tried to get the folks to be more active, but they just aren't. It needs some fresh blood to get it running.

That is one of the problems with Yahoo Groups, sometimes they become inactive when no new members introduce themselves. Much akin to a writing group I attended here in the Philippines. Like they say, familiarity breeds contempt.
