Is Billy Joel a one man band??

I think that his band members have been with him a long time and support him better than any other group could at this point. But, I believe that he is the primary and really the only attraction and the group would not suffer outwardly (interpersonal dynamics notwithstanding) if any of the band members moved on. He is so amazing!!!

He is a great performer. I do agree that he plays as well as sings which adds to the whole effect. The bad supports his skills. I think any good player could be back there and it wouldn't make a difference and I'm sure that there have been many over the years. People come to see him and the band is just the background part of it.
