Two Atlanta brothers are in custody at the Fulton County jail charged with the torture death of a five-month old puppy and trashing a local apartment complex. Seventeen-year old Joshua Molder and 18-year old Justin Molder are being held without bond. The Molder brothers stand accused of covering a puppy with paint, hog tying it, trying to set it on fire and when that didn't work, baking the puppy to death in an oven. As you may know, the connection between animal cruelty and interpersonal violence has been established for many years. FBI Supervisory Special Agent Allen Brantley was quoted as saying "Animal cruelty... is not a harmless venting of emotion in a healthy individual; this is a warning sign." Joshua and Justin Molder's actions in this case meet several of the factors that are considered high-risk for future violence against humans, as outlined by Dr. Randall Lockwood. Please help ensure that justice is served in this unthinkably cruel case. Take a moment to send a polite letter to the prosecutor in this case, asking for vigorous prosecution, as well as the maximum jail time, a heavy fine and mandatory psychological counseling if the Molders are convicted. These are some sick f*#%ing kids who need to be hog-tied themselves, and baked in an oven! It's a shame that at times like these, we don't have the "eye for an eye" policy. I hate people who abuse animals!!!!!

I hate them too, and i wish we could use the "eye for an eye" policy, but there are laws, sometimes good, but sometimes bad...like for them, they'll never get what they deserve.

this is so sick, i hope these kids would be prosecuted and be punished for the cruelty they imposed on the animal. what were they thinking! how could they be so cruel to an animal! situations like this make me worry how our society right now is becoming more unreasonable. this is plain stupidity!

A 5 month old puppy :(!?! I hope karma is real. Those kids need to get what they deserve. They're old enough to know better. It's depressing to hear. I can't figure out how some can be so cruel to just torture a living, breathing creature like that.

Thank you for the article and link. I went in and signed it. I know these kids will not get the punishment they deserve, but I hope I helped to make them get it at least a little worse. Kids like that deserve to endure the same thing they made that innocent baby go through. Unfortunately our legal system is not set up that way. Children need to be taught to respect pets. After all, they are just like small children themselves.

Thanks for the link to the petition. I signed it and hope it makes some kind of difference although crimes like this usually get a slap on the hand. For some reason crimes against animals usually just get probation. Sick sad world.

I feel horrible about this, and i'm very angry that things like this can happen. I think they should tread these boys the same way as they treaded the dog. They should let them suffer for a very long time
