do people really care whats in the perfume they wear?

Well I was just wondering what people thought on the subject of natural versus synthetic perfumes. I wonder if most people care that the stuff they are spraying on their skin in the case of synthetics is harmful and might be doing them long term damage. I mean if it smells nice does anybody care? Who likes natural perfumes and why? and do they know any famous natural perfumes?
