HOW REALSTIC THESE REALITY SHOWS ARE

I am a daily watcher of BIG BOSS show on sony tv. Even I am enjoing it but some where I feel that whatever they are doing is pre decided. But some where I feel that they are doing real things. Can you please share with me how realistic these shows are called reality shows.
