I just recently moved to Nicaragua, and I'm glad I made the choice. The people are friendly, they really know how to have a good time, and of course I love a good party. For about $20 you can get enough fireworks to wage a mini world war III, big ones small ones, colored ones, plane ones, you name it they got it. And what a celebration! From the 7th of December all the way to January 1st there are fireworks starting at 6 in the morning and ending at midnight, every hour on the hour (there are bigger displays, but there are always fireworks going on throughout the various barrios). I can't wait to celebrate the new year.. I'm going to stock up on "Morteros" (GREAT big bangers ;) ) and get myself a cuban cigar to light them with and celebrate coming to Nicaragua wih a bang. On a side note: Here's to a prosperous new year and good health wishes to Daniel Ortega, Nicaraguas' President Elect

Please do be careful when using them. In my country (USA) thay are illegal here in most states because many people get hurt. Enjoy them and be safe. If you get a chance can you check out my post? ( http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/436602.aspx ) Thanks and hope to talk to you soon

I'm always careful ;) I know there are dangers associated with them, but then.. Doesn't a little danger make life more exciting?
