After 9 months of struggling, i finally got my ccie in voice. it was a terrible 9 months with no social life..at the end of the day it does pay off with a better salary and better respect in the industry. Some tips i can think of are, a. Should have the courage to accept defeat and not beat yourself up for it as CCIE is not something that you get always in the first run. (of course there are exceptions) b. Should practice proper time management and strategy c. Should have a very good test plan before you go in for the lab. Whats the point if you configure something without able to test if it works. d. ready to give off your life for 9 - 12 months... its a investment on yourself..so just go for it...its worth the time spent... d.
