Hydrocolloid and adhesive

My understanding is that hydrocolloid material is tacky by nature. Im creating a dressing to wick moisture away. We are considering to spray a little adhesive on the bottom of the hydrocolloid to aid in its tackiness, but I wondering if that would hamper its moisture wicking capabilities...am I right to be concerned?
