My little cousin walks while sleeping

I have a little cousin who studies in 6th grade and is bit over wieghted. He stands up while he is sleeping and starts walking, he some times tries to open up all the doors and go out side the house.
Once he was caught by a neighbour who saw him walking striaight in between the road full of cars near our house at night.
His parents are very much worried about him. He does this unconciously he doesn't gets aware of this.
is this s desease?

hi.. I had this trouble when i was a kid till i was in the 9th grade and stopped now. I dint find any reason aboout it. even i was opening the door to move out and caught by my parents. I was not aware of what i was doing. Its better to take him to a doctor and cure by counselling. Take care...

I din go to a Doctor for treatment but just had a counseling which made some difference. After my 10th grade i din have the trouble. Age matters as well. I will come out of it soon.

I never had that kind of problem. But I think is funny to see other people walking while sleeping.
