Female Tradespeople

I'm looking at doing an electrical apprenticeship. People tend to rect badly to female tradies though. Why is that? Why aren't female builders/ carpenters/ electricians/plumbers,etc as accepted as men?

Because some men I think are scared a woman will do a better job than them.

I don't know why they react to it that way. I guess it's just some people aren't as open as others.
