Is it harder for men to apologize when their wrong?

Ever had an argument and you knew it was the guys fault. You also knew that he knew it just by the way he was acting. Maybe he would look at you hard like he really wanted to say something for several days. Sometimes he'd get you gifts. After a week he finally built up the nerve to say he was sorry. I think men's pride get in the way a lot when they have to apologize. Do you agree? Does it take many longer to apologize? Why do you think this is?
