How many people take their kids to alternate places for halloween e.g. church, mall, school,? Would still take them around the block as well?

I've never let my kids go trick or treating on their own, regardless of if your neighbourhood is safe or not, there are too many people out there in this world that can easily cause harm.

We did the mall thing last year when we were in Texas and it was not fun. There were too many people and the store had run out of candy less than an house into the event. It is much better to trick or treat in your neighborhood if that is a common practice.

It all depends on where you live to determine safety?? Call your local police dept and ask them, they will be able to tell you good locations to take your baby..

it is okay to take your kids in neighborhoods as long as you check over the candy good or take it to be checked
