microcontroller is one of the most important ic it controlles all the functions it is used in embedded systems. it is used to control various parameters like temperature,humidity,water level,etc...

For those who are curious what a microcontroller is ,it's a very small chip in the computer,it contains the computer memory and there are people out there programming these things.If others can give more information or complete mine it would be cool.
