Do you let your children play video games?

I do, but games like Spyro and such, nothing violent. I also limit it to 2 hrs a week to be spent how ever they wish. So if they spend 2 hours playing them in one night, that's it for the week. I don't think there is much productive in video games, but I know kids enjoy them, so I make them deals.

That's a very good point, the eye sight. I do think video games and TV has an effect on it.

Yes sunshine cup we almost do the same except we allow them 3 hours a week. We displine our kids in different ways but one of the most effective for us is that they lose their video game time for the week if they are naughty and it's amazing how that has changed some of their bad habits (not cleaning their bedrooms ect) .

we are the same way. Our kids are limited in what they can play. They aren't allowed to play violent games. I think some video games have benefits in hand-eye coordination, but I worry about them playing too much. How much is too much?
