Do you think it is as good or worse then attending a traditional college? Have you had any experience with an oline education?

What did you take if you don't mind my asking? My husband took a course thru them dealing with becoming a Park Ranger or something like that. My course was in Dressmaking and design.

I think the idea of online college is excellent, provided you're doing accredited courses. Some of the stuff on the net really isn't worth anything as a qualification. It's a realy pity. Eventually I think the inevitable thing will happen. Online education is much better economics. Better use of time, better use of resources, there's a lot to be said for the whole concept. It also saves educational institutions a lot of money in providing physical facilities, and the related overheads. Given the rampaging cost of education these days (At the rate we're going in Australia we may possibly be able to take our doctors out of their glass cases and dust them occasionally.) it's pretty clear that online will be the way it's done in future. I just wish it would hurry up.

It is very important that people look to see that the online institute is accreditied. I'm glad you brought it up. Some people don't think of this. The only time I can see online education as a disadvantage is when you need hands on training. Some things is better thaught in a regular classroom like taking blood and doing labs tests and thins like that.

I think online education is a great idea for people who are older and don't feel comfortable going to college with younger people. I have thought about taking some online courses myself.

Why just for older people? Could it not also be beneficial for younger ones as if they have to work. online gives them more flexable hours to study.

I love online classes. My schedule prevents me from attending classes on campus. I can easily fit online classes into my schedule at night. I know that the interaction between other students are great but I am willing to forgo that part.

I to think that online education is great to fit into a schedule. Mine never stays the same for more then a few days at a time.
