My husband and I want to be homeowners so badly! We have exhausted all options that we know of. My husband has a federal tax lein against him for owing taxes. It is on his credit and we cant get financed for anything. Is there a way around this? It is a significant amount of money that cant just be paid off right now!

the only way you can get around that is to try to qualify for the mortgage yourself...or have a co- borrower on the loan with you that is related to you..if there is a tax lien against your husband then most lender will want him to pay it off before they are willing to approve the loan.
