I am curious as to how many people on MyLot has been a victim of a violent crime. I have found myself in some very uncomfortable situations in the past, but as for being a victim of a violent crime..yes! The night before Mother's Day in 2005 I was working at a local cab company and was a victim of armed robbery. The male behind me put a gun to the back of my head and the male beside me put a gun to the right side of my neck. It was a very bad experience. I am looking for people who can offer support and understanding in this area.

Yeah, that was totally crazy. However, you did not commit a violent crime unless you include telling a manager what he can do...lol. That was so long ago. He was just mad and needed some way to get back...pretty silly if you ask me. Oh, if "BRAD" runs across this, I hope that he gets a good life knowing we still remember him. HA !

I was raped in college by an "ex" boyfriend. While the crime actions were not overly violent, basically because I quit fighting and just laid there, the act itself is considereda violent crime. Any crime victim has issues to deal with for the rest of their life. It can definitely make your sense of security diminish and your sense of insecurity come to a high level.
