Has anyone here been arrested for civil disobedience? Do you regret it?

I have; I went to jail 13 times for disability rights in favor of community based services and against euthanasia. I have also gone jail numerous times for peace issues, including getting arrested for protesting at the School of the American in Fort Benning, GA. I don't regret my arrests at all.

No, I have never been arrested before, I would say that the laws did seem a little hars but after 13 times you should have learned your lesson.

I wanted to get arrested. Wanted to change the law. Wanted to make a point. And I did. Listen to "Have You Been to Jail for Justice" by Anne Fenney if you don't understand what I mean.

Imagine the powers-that-be arresting a special needs person for peaceful demonstrations--you weren't armed, were you? And you were wearing clothes--right? I think our finest could be spending their time protecting people from the REAL menaces to society! Anyway, good for you!
