Windows or Linux?

I think at present windows is better because it is very easy to operate as it is one of the user friendly OS available in the market and most of the hardwares available in the market is windows based and very few hardware supports or provides drivers to linux but the scene is changing vey fast and as long as linux is consider it is a very stable OS as compared to windows and it gets less affected by viruses but it is very hard to operate and it is not yet that user friendly and there are many other issues like so many companies are their to develop linux that the consumers get confused as to which distribution to buy and what does other distribution has which my distribution doesn't have so I think it will take time for linux to overtake windows as presently windows is the first choice of millions for their deshtop requirements. One more thing I would like to comment is that windows is not at all preferable being a network OS because linux and Unix are far more better and they are very strong OS and they shines as a Network OS.

linux is nice but it is not that user friendly.. what i have heard and seen.. at least if you're a programmer it wont be that hard for you to use it.. windows is easier to use.. ;)

Linux is better, because it is more stable, and has many more programs that come standard with the Distro.

windows and linux both have advantages and disadvantages.windows has good user interface and has more compatible progrmas.there are innumerable programs for windows.almost every program is made to be compatabile with windows.but windows is more vulnerable to security.windows can be easily hacked or be effected by virus.whereas linux which litlle hard to understand at first has more security protection.so people who use computers for domestic purpose like playing games etc.. can use windows and people who keep their secrets of their acoounts etc.. or companies can use linux

both are craps...i use my own operating system that i developed a couple of years ago...:) if you need a copy of it then don't send me a mail at any of my addresses...do a very simple thing...and that is to go and make one of your own OS..:P

i use windows,i have heard that linux is the best as there are less viruses and system is stable
