HYIP: Systematic Strategies

From a survey of the many HYIP 'forums' it seems that most people asking for advice would LIKE to be given some sort of 'pill' which would take away all of thier problems, and free them from the need to think, or plan and manage their 'business'. They would like somebody else to lift that responsibility from their shoulders, and just tell them the magic formula. Perhaps this reflects our 'immediate gratification' culture - but whatever the case, it just ain't going to happen that way! So here is my contribution to a REALISTIC approach to a subject which is probably the KEY to whether or not you are going to succeed and prosper in this tricky field. An outstanding feature of HYIP's is that 'everything keeps changing all the time'! - Now, ain't that true!? - And on top of that, there are several 'major key elements' within any investment portfolio which will change independently of each other, and/or often bring about the situation in which a spontaneous change in any one of them raises the need (or desirability) to to go off and readjust something else (As a very simple example: If your 'Star Game' profits accumulate to a certain point, perhaps it should trigger you to withdraw some of the cash, and re-invest it somewhere else in your diversified package of HYIP's. etc.) So, on that basis, I put it to you that any serious attempt to run HYIP's as a 'business' (part-time or full-time) ABSOLUTELY MUST contain provisions to keep up with changes, and a clear and premeditated plan on how you are going to deal with them. - Unless you do so, things will tend to 'drift' out of control remarkably quickly, and your life is going to be spent leaping from one crisis to the next! And every time you get it wrong, you are likely to lose money!! I have pulled all of this together in a set of five strategies: 1 - A HYIP Selection Strategy - to get your investments right in the first place. 2 - A Diversification Strategy - to balance financial 'risk' versus 'benefit' factors. 3 - A Growth/Withdrawal Strategy - to meet financial objectives. 4 - A Management Strategy - to co-ordinate the first three. 5 - A Timely and Cyclical Review Strategy - to make sure that you do all this!! All five of those elements need to mesh in with each other, and work as a single 'system' if you are going to have any hope of real success! This is in marked contrast to the usual tendency for people to work on the subject as a patternless confusion of unrelated bits! - Always to their own disadvantage, one way or another! - You only need to scan the various 'forums' to see the proof of this shambles, in action!! Another problem is that remarkably few active investors are really comfortable with the 'arithmetic heavy' nature of the subject!! - They need the help of specialized calculators and charts! - This also comes up repeatedly in the 'forums'. - Many grown men turn white, and are reduced to tears at the mere thought of 'compound interest calculations'! - It's very sad! So, I've written the software for no less than ten Calculators - plus a bunch of Charts!! (For my own use, as well as anybody else, incidentally!! - As I don't enjoy boring, repetitive, error prone arithmetic, either!) There is a (Free!!) 'Guided Tour' on my website which walks you through all of this in more detail. - (It all scrolls through automatically, so grab a relaxing cup of coffee, and just sit back and read and think!) If you have decided that you want to 'work' the HYIP field to make a solid income, instead of just flittering about, 'playing' and 'tire kicking', or if you feel frustrated by the apparent complexities of the subject, then this could be a first step on the journey towards 'professionalism'!

Interesting discussions, but not easy to implement those strategies.
