why does black pepper make one sneeze?

really, i wonder. how come cream of tartar, or ground nutmeg or baking soda won't make me sneeze?

because black pepper is like a stone but soft. and can tickle or scratch or irritate the upper part of your nose thats why you sneeze. put me in your best response please hehe.

could be. i pesonally don't really know why. everyime i use it in my cooking, i always sneeze. you could be right!

I am guessing that the chemical components in black peper make up a special acid when it goes into your nose, making you sneeze.
