If you desire to exercise and loose weight at the same time, be sure to eat a wholesome diet of good foods every day, especially breakfast. Should one exercise AND cut back calories, you will GAIN weight instead! Why? The body, deprived of nutrients, believes it is starving. Especially if you expend alot of energy (calories), the body believes it is starving, and will SLOW the metabolism to conserve body fat. So, if you exercise and diet at the same time, you will gain weight.

There are websites that can help you understand how much you need in calories and other nutrients. I will post a link for you. Also, you must eat enough calories to replace the calories you burn during exercise!

One of the most important aspects of loosing weight and staying healthy is to eat breakfast. Also, do not cut out wholesome foods, instead stop eating empty calorie foods (if you do eat empty calorie foods!)

Exercising should help you lose weight, but you still have to monitor what you eat. By exercising, you burn up more calories and make more muscles. I heard somewhere that at rest, muscles use more calories than fat does!! So even you when you aren't doing anything, if you have more muscle than fat, you are burning more calories!!

Muscle burns a lot more calories at rest than fat, and muscle is twice as dense at fat. These are reasons why a lot of people include some form of weight-training in their exercise routines. It burns appx 400 calories per hour, but potentially increases your muscles, burns your fat, thus improving your body composition even if you are not losing weight. Body composition is the true key, not body weight.

Loosing weight is not only a single word, it consists of decreasing fat from many parts of ur body, each part has different kind of exercise, few may hav a huge belly, tht means belly part hav most amount of fats than anyother part in their body, they hav diff set of exercises, som may hav heavy butt, back tyres etc, every body is different from each other, so u need to c the person n thn tell thm the right exercise for tht xact part.... I advice u to join a nearby gym so that u can b under a guidence of a coach, hey wil guide very well, u wil hav quick n best results

Losing weight is all about lifestyle changes but the easiest form of exercise I have found is walking. It can be done anywhere and at any time really and doesn't cost a fortune. Even if you can only manage 10 minutes due to other time constraints, then it will help. Of course if you can do more than that so much the better but for some people, even doing 10-15 minutes 3-4 times a day helps. There is a woman here in Australia who lost heaps of weight by walking around her clothesline. She said she felt so uncomfortable going outside her house because of her size that she just walked round and round the clothesline till she had lost enough to go further afield. LOL The before and after photos of her showed that she did it too and good luck to her but I think I would go mad if I did it that way. Also make sure that you eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as lean meat.

I was told to do your aerobic exercise before you eat. That way you burn existing calories. Also you raise your metabolism before you eat so that you won't store as many calories as fat.

Well, exercises are all well and good, but a nutritious diet containing all the vital vitamins and minerals are necessary. Once you've changed your diet then you're one step closer to achieving your goal. Personally, I'd recommend jogging as a great weight-loss activity. I do one or two miles each day and I'm really starting to notice the difference; both mentally and physically. However, crunches are not normally done to lose weight. They're often done to tone up the muscles in your abdomen and to achieve a better body shape all around.

Hi! Some fish, such as tuna and swordfish, have high levels of mercury in them and are not recommended to be eaten by pregnant women and children (or anyone else) because of birth defects and mercury poisoning. This applies to the USA, please check with your own area if you are not in the USA!

I don't seem to have a problem with appetite so I just don't eat. When I do I stop sooner. I love to ride my bicycle. It is important to raise your heartrate from time to time and the bicycle helps in that area. Sorry, if this approach does not work for most but it is what I do.

You need to do both to lose it and keep it off. I follow the South Beach Diet loosely. I rarely eat white bread or pasta anymore those were the staples of my diet for many years. I have switched over to whole wheat ones. I try to have atleast 4 servings of vegetables and 2 servings of fruit each day. I exercise 5 times a week doing weight training and cardio.

It's important that your input is less than your output... to eat sensibly & to be active... this doesn't mean a rigorous exercise program... but... go walking, play frisbee with the kids, dance with the kids to their fav song, take the dog for a walk. If you really want that chocolate bar... place it in the freezer.. it will take longer to chew & enjoy every mouthful.... slowly.. savour it.

I haven't gained that much weigth since high school but I have been on excercise programs after having children. The best and the safest way to lose weght is eat the same things you usually eat but smaller portion (eat from a smaller plate). Start off with low impact exercise and then increase and don't forget your toning exercising such as sit up, exercise with weights for aram, legs, buttock and chest area
