Spain is the most modern european country??

I visited Spain many times in the last twenty years. A very fast evolution of mentality has been done by spanish people, most part of the towns are really modern, high quality of services, growing up economy comparable to the better world countries. I think the Spain has done a really big jump in the future

I visited Spain in 1986, more or less at the same time that the writers of the 2 previous postings in this discussion. But I did not return. I would like to do so, to see the evolution they mention.

Yes, I can remember when spain was very slow paced and sedentary. Thats not to say that there are no places like that now, but the Cities have been hurled into the 21st century

To me spain looks like traditional country with moderate growth and may be the cities are well developed. I do not think in science and technology, they can be compared to some advanced countries of west.
