Do You Drive Around Parking Lot Looking for Closest Space?

I went Christmas Shopping yesterday. I was amazed at how many people drive around and around to try to get a parking spot close to the door. I take the first place I find. I don't care if I have to walk. What do you do?

I have a baby and it is usually raining here so I try for the closest spot.I usually drive down one or two rows and give up.

Some of these people will drive around a half hour till they get one. I just don't understand.

A little walking is good for you. People wouldn't believe the benefits they could get by parking a little farther away from the door.

It really depends on what the weather is like. If it is really cold and/or snowing I will look for a closer spot. If the weather is nice and clear, then it doesn't matter. It also depends on how much time I have.

I don't care if it is cold or raining. A little cold or rain never hurt me. I try not to go to the store if I don't have much time.

It annoys me when people do that. What is worse is when they sit in the lane blocking everyone waiting for someone to pull out. I hate that so much. I might drive down a couple of lanes just to see but I almost always park at the end. I don't mind walking. If the kids are with me (which means most likes dh is too) my husband drops me and the baby off at the door if it is cold or raining or really hot and then parks and walks with the older kids. I almost never go out alone with the kids. People are so lazy anymore. I even park at the end when I am pregnant. I remember being 9 1/2 months pregnant and in so much pain and still walking from one end of the parking lot to the other while it was pouring down rain. I kind of got upset to see that one of the "pregnant mom" spots next to the handicapped spots was taken by a woman that was obviously not pregnant nor with a pregnant woman. Not that I would have parked there but it really made me mad.

I know it upsets me when people take the reserved spots. Alittle excercise wouldn't hurt them.

I have a van with a wheelchair lift and I hate going shopping. We cannot ever find a spot to park to get the lift down. It is a hassle. We usually end up way down at the end of the parking lot and walk.

That is to bad that you can't find a wheel chair spot. I have seen so many people park in them that don't need them. They need to start ticketing them.
