I was just emailed this from a friend. I am not sure if it is true. Has anyone else heard of this? PIN NUMBER REVERSAL (GOOD TO KNOW) If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money froman ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your Pin # inreverse. For example if your pin number is 1234 then you would put in 4321. The ATM recognizes that your pin number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine. The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to help you. This information was recently broadcasted on TV and it states that it is seldom used because people don't know it exists. I dont see how this can be true. There has to be someone with a PIN that is like the reverse of yours... right?

Not true. Read up on this at snopes.com. You'll see that something like this was proposed, but the cost was considered to be prohibitive. It's a great idea, but...

Hello Dear, Please dont trust on this news. I have personally verified this news with ICICI bank which I am using and no such thing exists as per bank officials. By no chance this method will work for withdrawl.

I would think so however your card is a one of a kind so it should know that the number is YOUR number in reverse. However i have never heard about this before. I have friends on the police force and i am going to ask them about this. If it is true it is good to know. Thanks for posting this!
