Privacy.. How important is it to you?

We live in a world of decreasing privacy.. We are watched by cameras, our fingerprints are on file, our ISPs know where we go, what time we go to the site, what we buy off the site if we buy anything.. So, just how important is privacy to you? We give up a lot of privacy to trade it in for security (As is the case when travelling, gone are the days when you could go to customs, they would go "THUMP" and wave you through.. Now it's a whole barrage of questions.. "How long are you staying?", "What's your business here?" etc.) We don't even have privacy when we shop anymore, a lot of stores if you buy their branded credit card, keep track of your purchases, when you make most of your purchases, what products you most often purchase etc. There's a lot of information posted about you online as well.. In a lot of cases, your previous address, your telephone number, your job in some cases, criminal files.. And do you care WHO sees you purchasing things when online? Or even in line at a store? What I'm getting at, is ever since Sept 11.. We have less and less privacy, they're talking chips now to locate everyone (already in wide use in Europe for Credit and Bank Cards)... What is privacy worth to you? Or are we just going to give up our privacy for our security in this world?
