I recently read a story of someone who claimed to have a homemade nuclear reactor using: 6 luminous wristwatches an apple a few graphite pencils (to be used as control rods, lowered and lifted out of the apple) aluminium (as an outer casing) I wouldn't try it nonetheless, but can you really believe this? They claim that you can feel heat and see a miniature mushroom cloud I seriously doubt that six luminous wristwatches would produce enough radiation to do this!
