How to improve the US soccer team?

What should be done to make the US soccer team world class to be ready to compete with the best in the next World Cup?

Get the Americans more interested in soccer so the team has more support and take soccer more serious as a starter

Play friendlies that aren't always weaker teams, after all that's where the 'high rank' is from. I believe the system for drawing in players is very poor and that you essentially have to go through college?

I would say completely revamp the team and put in immigrants from other countries as our starting players lol. On a more serious note, the US soccer team has absolutely zero support and notice from our country. I really dont ever see the soccer team doing well because most people simply ignore the team.
