Have you seen the movie The Grapes of Wrath, or read the book? The book is written by John Steinbeck. I liked the movie better, the book's kind of a slow read, but in the movie Grandpa is great. He doesn't want to leave for California and his family asks him "well, what about Grandma" and he says "Take her with you!" - He is the perfect crotchety old stubborn man, but he loves his land, even if it is poor, and he doesn't want to leave. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Grapes_of_Wrath The Grapes of Wrath is a classic novel published in 1939 and written by John Steinbeck, who was subsequently awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. It is frequently read in American high school and college literature classes. A celebrated Hollywood film version was made in 1940, starring Henry Fonda and directed by John Ford.
